Job Title: Civil/Structural Design Manager

Location: Greater Manchester

Temporary/Contract/Permanent: Permanent

Salary: 40,000 -50,000 + Benefits (Dependant on experience)

They are looking to enhance their established team and appoint a Civil/Structural Design Manager. This is a superb opportunity to work on a range of medium and large scale heavy structural/civil projects with a high profile company.

Responsibilities:
* Design and supervision for a team of Civil/Structural Engineers and Technicians within a heavy structural/civil division with projects including nuclear power, oil, gas, power and industry.
* You will be responsible to Lead and assist in the design and project management of high profile work and providing guidance to your team
* Liaison with Clients to prepare project programme and budget, develop new and existing client relationships within the region
* Provide technical guidance and support and interface with other design disciplines
* Scope for business development within the sector
* Supervise and manage junior staff ensuring all training and development objectives are met.

Requirements:
* Relevant Third level degree matched with chartered status
* Ideally 15 years+ experience (however 10 years+ may be considered)
* Excellent understanding of UK codes and practices
* Must have excellent communication and technical skills.
* Experience with construction supervision of heavy civil/structural projects
* Must have excellent communication and management skills with a commitment to deliver excellence.
