Our client is a successful and well established practice based in Nottingham. In response to the growing demand for Solar Shading as a way of addressing the increasing need for improved energy management in the working environment. They provide bespoke solutions responding to the constraints of each project by establishing close links with Architects at an early stage allowing us to advise on the most appropriate products. They have worked on numerous prestigious projects with many of the UK's leading Architects, offering a friendly and personal service. As a result they are looking to recruit an Estimator to support their existing workload and to develop new business.
The Role:
You will be working in a busy commercial environment responding to enquiries and tenders from 15k up to 1 million from both local and national construction companies.
You will need a sound commercial awareness and technical knowledge of Curtain Walling, Glazing, Structural Glass and Cladding, and be able to prepare estimates from bills of Quantities and Architects / Engineering drawings. You should be self motivated with a desire to secure work for the company, have good communication skills, and be computer literate.
You will have a proven track record working in a similar position; however, training will be given where necessary. This position offers the opportunity to work in a challenging and rewarding environment, along with a generous basic salary for the right applicant.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Applicants should have sound commercial experience gained within Construction, Structural, Architectural Metalwork or ideally, Curtain Walling, Glazing, Structural Glass and Cladding industry. * Must be numerate and have good computer skills / be IT literate (MS Office). * Excellent communication & interpersonal skills required, along with the ability to work under pressure. * A UK driving licence will be required for this role.
